You did prereg, right?

Like all Elliott’s events, the spring gathering doesn’t take at the door registration, so you’ll need to take care of that before you head down to Florida. You’ve got until 6am on Friday the 4th to sign up, or you’ll be missing out on all (well, most of) the excitement. See you there!

Food: Badwolf and Atlwolf will have some food on hand – a few burgers, hot dogs (chicken dogs) and
BBQ Pork, along with buns, and some condiments. Please bring anything else you wish to add to
the feast – additional burger patties, veggie burger parries or hot dogs, buns, chips, etc.
As for beverages, bring a 6 pack of whatever you prefer to drink. Alcohol is prohibited in the park
as are glass bottles.

Things to bring: Sun screen, folding chair, frisbee, kites, other out-door games

Things to leave at home: Laptops, tablets, hand held video games (easily stolen)

What to wear: Comfortable clothing – shorts, shirts, sandals, flip flops, sneakers, sweater, hat.

Just in case: Umbrella, poncho or rain coat.

Parking: On Street parking is available around the park. Because of limited space, the park suggests
taking public transportation or carpooling. There is a parking deck located inside Piedmont Park –
Costs for parking in the deck is $1 every 1/2 hr – $15/day max – If you are going to park in the
deck, plan on getting there early, as spots fill up quickly. Carpooling and splitting gas and parking
costs are suggested.

Pack light. You will have to carry everything you need to the picnic site – Rolling coolers or totes
are suggested.

Fursuiting: We will be near Greystone – the lakeside event facility. There is a public restroom at Greystone that
you may use to change into Fursuit.

Furry RenFest Outing Date: Saturday April 14 Location: Georgia Renaissance Festival http://www.garenfest.com/ Join the local Furs as we wonder the medieval paths of Newcastle, watch the performers, eat food of kings and peasants and shop for hand made items across the kingdom. We will meet inside the front gate at noon, in front of the fountain. Cost at the door is $19.95 – but for opening weekend, it is 2 for one so make sure to bring a buddy!

Piedmont Park FurBQ Date: Saturday April 28 Location: Piedmont Park Picnic Area http://piedmontpark.org Join us for a cookout at Piedmont Park. We’ll have limited beverage and food on hand, so please bring something to grill and share. We suggest burgers, hot dogs, veggie dogs, brats, or any other grillable. Don’t forget your buns! We’ll hang out, play games, and maybe even roam around in Fursuits. This is a public park, and picnic space is first come first serve. We will try to secure a covered area. Tails and collars are welcome!

For those of you who aren’t headed down to Elliott’s Spring Gathering (You guys who are had better get your rooms fast! Link to the hotel can be found on the Elliott’s Live Events website) and wont be able to attend our party, we’ve got something in store so you don’t feel left out in the cold: another board game day. Everyone who came to play had so much fun last time, and I know that no one got to play everything. FWA owns over 60 different board games, and you can see the entire list here.

Drop by on Saturday May 26th at 1:00 at 7730 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs (Or here, if you’re more of a map kinda guy). It’s open to all, and free to come out and play, but donations will gladly be accepted at the event. Snacks will be provided if you need a lil something to tide you over till dinner time. Oh yeah, and that punch will be back, too.

“spring sci fi charity putt putt challenge at the malibu grand prix norcross, ga! … all fan clubs and costumed groups are challenged and welcomed and encouraged to donate and participate! at least 2 canned goods per person for a free round of miniature golf per person… all other attractions in the park at group rates… just take donations to the putt putt desk, mark the donation sheet, get your putt putt gear and go play!… wearing costumes or club t-shirts is requested but not required… donations go to the bread of life food bank in gwinnett…”

Furries represent! After what we did for CCI, I’m sure we can pull together a few cans of food for an equally worthy cause. Date of the event is Saturday April 7th from 12:00 to 5:00pm, so mark your calendars and put 5400 Brook Hollow Pkwy, Norcross, GA 30071 into your GPS, and come out and play some put-put.

Come on by this Sunday at 5:00 for a couple of warm up games. Members night begins at 7:00, when players with current memberships play for free! Don’t have a membership? Curley-Q will be more than happy to tell you all about its benefits.

This is a great way to shake off the cobwebs and get back into practice. The Georgia Furs birthday party is just a couple of months away, after all.

We have a responsibility, you know. As natives of the Atlanta party scene, It’s our job to show all those out-of-towners how it’s done in the peach state. So, talk it up and let folks know you’re coming, and that this is a party you really don’t wanna miss. A chance to have a blast and make some positive press about furries; what more could you ask for?

One thing we need to mention: because of an issue between the club and the county, The Jungle will be a 21+ venue for the time being. Sorry guys. There’s Nothing we can do about that. The younger crowd shouldn’t despair though! It just wouldn’t be FWA without an amazing dance goin on every night back at the hotel. Plenty of fun to be had there, too!

Bowling:
It’s the same deal as last year. We’ll be boarding the buses at 4:00 Monday afternoon and will be ready to bowl by 4:30. Suiters are more than welcome; we’ll have a space for you guys to change.

Dinner:
After we’re done on the lanes, it’s time to head to dinner. Just like last year, we’ve got all you can eat from the preselected entrees, sides, desert, and drink. We’ll be sitting down to dine at 7:00 for those arriving late.

And because we like the familiar, the prices are the same this year, too.
