#GAFurs is an IRC chat room located on the Anthrochat IRC network for your IRC enjoyment.
What is IRC, then?
IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. In a nutshell, IRC is a very old chat protocol that still exists much to the delight of furries who use this protocol daily to converse and connect with other furries around the world. You can find more on the history of IRC here.
How do I join?
To join, you will need an IRC client. Here is a complete list of IRC clients that you can use. While we can’t troubleshoot each and every one of these, you will want to point your IRC client of choice to the ‘irc.anthrochat.net’ server, port ’6667′.
To make things a bit simpler, you can start by checking out Anthrochat’s web-based IRC client; however, we only recommend you do this while first getting acquainted with the general ins and outs of IRC.
