The Big Atlanta Weekend of Fun! -or- The FWA Warmup

Furry Weekend Atlanta is just around the corner, and everyone’s getting stoked for the main event. But what happens when you just can’t contain your excitement? It’s Georgia Furs to the rescue, that’s what. Starting Friday February 3rd, we’ve got three great events in one big weekend to help tide you over till mid March. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get to it!

Furries at the Jungle part 2

Well, it was such a hit last time that they want us back. Georgia Furs member Tiger Paw is planning another Furry night at the Jungle! You can come with or without a suit, just come to party. If you want to be in a fun environment and help spread positive feelings for the furry fandom among other fun loving club goers, this is the place for you!

The time to be there is 10:00pm Friday the 3rd till late at 2115 Faulkner Rd, Atlanta GA 30324. Like before, Admission to the event is $15 if you’re 18 to 20, only $10 if you’re 21+, and will be collected at the Jungle box office.

Board Game Day

Furry Weekend Atlanta has over 60 different board games. That’s way more than even the most hard core of board gamers can enjoy in one weekend! That’s why we’re having a board gaming day up at the FWAffice. Come on up and sample the selection. Have a blast and figure out what games you want to play with your friends at the convention. You can see the list here.

The fun begins Saturday the 4th at 1:00 at 7730 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs. It’s open to all, and free to come out and play, but donations will gladly be accepted at the event. Snacks and drinks will be provided to keep you gaming all day long, at least until…

Dinner at the Diner

Rounding out the weekend, we’ll all end up at the Marietta Diner for some good food, and some good times. Annie will be there taking care of us, so you know we’re gonna be treated well. For those of you not going to the board gaming day before hand, we’ll be arriving at the diner around 7:30.

Kickin the new year off with some jams

This aint art jelly, and it aint’ art preserves.
It’s an art jam Yall! Best be spreadin the word.
Cause all the ink upon the page is gonna take the center stage
when we sketch, and draw, and color cause you know art’s all the rage.

At the Casa del Tree on Jan twenty.
Roll up round ‘bout seven. It’s the place ya wanna be.
Bring your markers and your paper and we’ll hook you up with snacks.
Like always, this is free, no need for stacks of cash.
But donations will be taken, though, from people who be knowin
that money makes the world go round and keeps the soda flowin.

Only artist should attend, regardless of their skill

December Decadence – Now With 20% More Details!

It’s that holiday season yet again and it’s easy to forget about all the other festivities going on due to the distraction of Christmas and New Years (especially if your birthday is on one of those holidays).
So join us at December Decadence to celebrate Daniel Banks’ 30th birthday bash! They’re will be food, music, friends and “liquid refreshment” but we could always use extra! No need for gifts just bring a platter (or a bottle) to pass around and make the night truly merry.

The Winter Wonderjam is upon us!

Saturday is the day of our long awaited holiday party, so who’s ready for an eventful evening? We’ll be hanging out and playing Rock Band, Mario Party, and old arcade games. There’ll be places to draw and hang out. We’ve got lots of delicious food and punch. I don’t know about you guys, but I for one am pretty excited about this.

Be sure to bring a $5 – $10 gift to participate in our white elephant gift exchange. This familiar holiday gift giving game is going to be a blast and a half.

And as a special Holiday gift to you, we’re cutting the cost in half! Admission to the Wonderjam is now just $10. Already prereged? We’ll take care of you at the event.
